Logistics B.V. sponsors cycling team

Ten years ago Lance Armstrong initiated the raising of funds for cancer research, aimed at increased chances of cure. In 1997 the first Ride for the Roses started in Austin, Texas. In 1998 the first Ride for the Roses of the Netherlands took place in Amsterdam for the benefit of KWF Kankerbestrijding, the Dutch cancer-control organization. This cycling event is not about cash prizes and doesn't produce a winner. Still it is very important to observe that the Ride for the Roses can be considered unique, because people are active in a healthy and fun way and are doing something in the fight against cancer at the same time.
Mayor (ex) cyclists already put their name to the Ride for the Roses and took part in the past few years in order to raise funds. Doing so they also contributed to the promotion of a healthy way of life. That is why I applaud the fact that prominent people from the world of cycling continue to support this great cycling event (especially during this tenth anniversary) and help to promote the debate on cancer.
Lucas Logistics sponsors cycling team Tandje from Oosteind that will join the Ride for the Roses on 19 August 2007 in Groningen.
Lucas Logistics has arranged brand new cycling wear, for the cyclists of Tandje to appear at the start with a fresh and professional look.
