Lucas Group takes over car transport department G.M. de Rooy & Zn

Lucas Group takes over the Benelux car transport department from G.M. de Rooy en Zonen.
As of 5 May 2008, the Lucas Group will take over the complete Benelux car transport department from G.M. De Rooy en Zonen in Son.
The take-over covers 34 car transporters and 29 employees.
De Rooy has permanently shifted its focus to the so-called High & Heavy transport: the transport of lorries, tractors and farming machinery.
De Rooy, European market leader in this segment, gives up the remaining 34 car transporters used to meet its customers' transport needs within the Benelux. De Rooy will continue to provide the transport of cars to Italy for Volvo Logistics.
With this, the Lucas Group, established in 2000, will become the third largest car transporter within the Netherlands. Its car transport department will increase to 55 lorries and its total fleet to 75 lorries.
Last Saturday, all employees of both companies were informed of the developments within their companies.
Both the customers of De Rooy and the customers of the Lucas Group can expect to continue to receive the usual quality from their service providers.
Furthermore, the Lucas Group welcomes its new colleagues to their new company!
